Behind the listed facade, Wohngarten has created a green oasis in the middle of Vienna. In addition to 2.000 m² of commercial space, the project offers its residents 33.500 m² of living space designed for comfort and personal development.

A particular highlight of the construction phase was the preservation of the historic brick wall, which gives the building its unique charm. In the spirit of sustainability, the new building behind it was realized with generous and thoughtfully designed green spaces. This not only created a small recreational area as a retreat from the hectic city life but also an effective measure against urban heat zones. Individual, idyllic, and communal – these values were at the heart of the project. Functional floor plans, generous outside spaces for each apartment, and the subway line U3 within walking distance guarantee comfort and facilitate a car-free life.

The project proves that old and new can coexist harmoniously – preserving the memory of times past and the character of the city.
